Hi,
One of our index file is reaching is allotted size of 500Mb, its grown to 97.23% of its allotted size. Can someone tell me how to reduce/trim/downsize the index file. Is there any way out. Iam a newbie to this area.

rebuild the indexes.
coalesce the tablespace.

No point of reducing the datafile size if it full with data, but to see what is the size to which you can reduce the size, use This Script

Your index tablespace might not have contiguous space to hold new extents, too. Check this with This Script

And finally, if you have to rebuild the indexes in this tablespace - refer to This Procedure
